LDLC ASVEL, officially ASVEL Basket, is a French professional basketball club from Villeurbanne, a suburb of Lyon. Founded in 1948 through the merger of two clubs, its acronym derives from Association Sportive Villeurbanne and Éveil Lyonnais. It is the most successful team in French basketball, with a record that includes 21 LNB Élite championships and 10 French Cups. Since 2014, NBA legend Tony Parker has been the club's president, driving a new era of ambition. The team competes in the LNB Élite and the prestigious EuroLeague, using the Astroballe and the new LDLC Arena, inaugurated in November 2023, as its home venues. The latter, with a capacity for around 12,500 spectators for basketball games, represents a qualitative leap for the club and its fans.
For a complete LDLC ASVEL experience, planning is key. Purchase your verified tickets for LNB Élite or EuroLeague games through official channels; demand for the LDLC Arena is often high. Check transport options: the LDLC Arena is accessible by tram (T7 and T3) and bus. If driving, book parking in advance. For the Astroballe, metro A and several bus lines provide easy access. Arrive early to enjoy the pre-game atmosphere and any potential entertainment. Don't forget to wear the club's colors, black and white, to show your unconditional support and immerse yourself in the passion of a dedicated fanbase.
